All sessions are customized to tailor the needs of each individual client. A variety of techniques may be utilized for best results. Each session includes time for an assessment, undressing, and time to dress at the end. For example, a 60 minute session includes 5 min of prep/assessment, 50 min hands on, and 5 min to dress and discuss homework/follow up. For any sessions that include stretching/mobility, please bring/wear athletic shorts and sports bras for women.

Prenatal or postpartum massage focuses on addressing the needs of expecting or postpartum women. Specially-designed cushions or pillows and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage with smooth, gliding strokes that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.

SportStretch®

SportStretch® is a floor mat, movement based, full body routine that consists of both actively and passively stretching a client. It can be done as an individual treatment or integrated into the end of a massage. This work can be used as a warmup prior to activity, as it can invigorate an athlete and get them ready to move, or it can be applied as recovery work, to relax them after activity. This session is done fully clothed so make sure to wear clothing that allows for movement.

Cupping

Cupping is skin/fascial decompression that helps to improve tissue mobility, enhances movement and can decrease pain by working with the neurological responses of the tissue. This is great for sports recovery, injury rehabilitation and chronic pain. A variation of plastic/silicone cups are applied to the area as we work through movement patterns. A variety of techniques are used such as stagnant (non mobile) cupping, massage (gliding) cupping, and mobility cupping.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio tape utilizes a flexible taping technique that helps to improve movement and performance. Taping can improve rehabilitation, performance, pain management, swelling/edema, and works with proprioception to guide and enhance postural positioning. It is also beneficial for scar mobility and nerve entrapment symptoms. Kinesio tape can also be used with pain and postural position during pregnancy and postpartum.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation

IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation) is made out to be an aggressive technique but is actually a gentle application of force to assist with gliding dysfunctions of the skin, fascia, and nerves. These steel tools are utilized to mimic what can be done with the hands but assist to cover a larger or more specific area.
